The body of a missing boater has been found in Grenada Lake.

GRENADA COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - The body of a missing boater has been found in Grenada Lake.

Grenada County Sheriff Alton Strider confirms the body of James Hinton was found Monday morning near 8:30.

Hinton was from the Hattiesburg area. Strider says his department is investigating the death as an accident.

Hinton had been missing since Saturday after his boat was found unattended in Grenada Lake.

GRENADA COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - Authorities in Grenada County are searching for a missing boater in Grenada Lake.

Grenada County Sheriff Alton Strider said they are looking for James Hinton of Lamar County.

Hinton has been missing since Saturday after his boat was found unattended in the water.

Sheriff Strider said they are looking in a particular area of the lake but it is a large area.
