COLUMBUS, Miss. (Press Release) - A week-long investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics has resulted in the arrest of two Columbus men and the seizure of approximately $40,000 worth of marijuana, according to MBN Director John Dowdy.
Agents arrested Aaron S. Dumas, 39, and Leshun Harris, 27, on Friday, January 26.
Dumas is charged with trafficking marijuana, conspiracy to possess or distribute marijuana as well as attempting to commit a crime.
Harris is charged with trafficking marijuana and conspiracy to possess or distribute marijuana.
Agents seized more than 38 pounds of marijuana following the execution of a search warrant at 413 Idlewild Road in Columbus, Director Dowdy said.
Both suspects were transported to the Lowndes County Adult Detention Facility.
Bond has been set at $50,000 for Dumas and $45,000 for Harris.
Assisting the MBN were Lowndes Metro Narcotics, U.S. Postal Inspectors, LowndesCounty Sheriff Department and Columbus Police Department.
