JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 3,323 more COVID cases and 67 more deaths Tuesday morning.
Twenty-nine deaths occurred between Aug. 11-16 in Calhoun, Carroll, Desoto (2), Forrest (4), George, Harrison (3), Hinds (4), Jackson, Madison, Neshoba, Rankin (2), Scott, Smith, Tippah, Tunica, Washington, Wayne (2) and Winston counties.
The other 38 deaths happened between Aug. 2-13, identified from death certificates, in Attala, Clay, Franklin, Hancock, Harrison, Hinds (6), Jackson (3), Jones (2), Lamar, Lowndes, Madison, Monroe, Montgomery, Oktibbeha, Pearl River, Perry, Pontotoc, Rankin (4), Scott (2), Smith, Tate, Tippah (2), Tishomingo, Union and Warren counties.
Since the onset of the pandemic in Mississippi in March 2020, the MSDH has reported 392,309 total cases and 7,880 total deaths.
