2 dead, 3 injured in Tremont crash

Itawamba County Coroner Sheila Summerford identified the victims as Darryl Strickland, 58, of Killen, Alabama, and Tommy Alsup, 35, of Minor Hill, Tennessee.

TREMONT, Miss. (WTVA) - Two people are dead following a crash in Itawamba County.

The crash happened just before 5:30 Sunday night.

Cpl. Jason Roe with the Mississippi Highway Patrol said two cars hit head-on near Gann Road in Tremont.

Three people are also recovering from injuries sustained in this accident.

The crash is under investigation.
