GUNTOWN, Miss. (WTVA) - More than a dozen teenagers have pending court dates after ABC agents busted up a large gathering during the weekend in Lee County.
According to the Mississippi Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), the gathering happened Saturday at a home on County Road 773.
Approximately 75-100 teenagers attended a bonfire in front of the home.
Agents arrested 14 teenagers for possession of beer/liquor.
Other teenagers had also consumed alcohol but officers did not see them in possession of alcohol.
Agents destroyed a large amount of beer.
According to ABC, charges are pending against a 41-year-old woman who lives at the home for allegedly violating the Social Host Law, which makes it illegal for an adult who owns or leases property to knowingly allow a party to take place if a minor at the party obtains, possesses or consumes alcoholic beverages, beer or light wine if the adult knows that the minor has obtained, possess or is consuming alcoholic beverages, light wine or beer.
