SCOOBA, Miss. (WTVA) - As the manufacturing industry gets more and more advanced, instructor James Pugh said East Mississippi Community College (EMCC) has updated its equipment to keep up with the job field.
With new machine technology being released almost every year, the manufacturing and machining industry is looking for new, young talent.
Pugh said EMCC is just the place to learn everything there is to know about the industry.
"The goal of our class is to provide the workforce in Mississippi with qualified, trained individuals in precision manufacturing industry," he said.
As older workers retire from the industry, Pugh said the demand for young workers is higher than ever.
