BLUE SPRINGS, Miss. (WTVA) - One local metal manufacturer is looking to add people to its staff.
"The main thing we look for is a good work ethic," HR Specialist Sheri Dickerson at Blue Springs Metals said.
Applicants need a high school diploma or GED.
The company supplies steel to the automotive industry.
Kirk Lewis is the president and chairman of Blue Springs Metals.
He explained people who work there can expect to help make the parts that go in many popular vehicles, including Toyota.
"All of the skin, the hoods, frames, the fenders, would come from our plant and go directly into the Toyota plant," Lewis said.
"A lot of our leaders started out as variable workforce, and they moved their way up to a group lead position," Dickerson added.
This includes people like Operations Supervisor Tyler Yarborough. He's been there for five years.
"Now, I've moved up all the way through the company," Yarborough said.
He came from a furniture store with no prior experience. The company will train employees who have no experience.
Yarborough encourages applicants to work hard and learn as much as possible throughout the training process.
