TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton said the city is working on drafting an executive order that would require people in the city limits to wear a face-covering while in public.
He indicated the executive order could take effect as early as Friday.
Seeing a spike locally, Shelton said it’s time to take more stringent action.
Shelton said Friday morning the city is still working on the face mask ordinance which should be done Friday with it possibly going into effect at midnight.
