TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Tupelo Transit has temporarily shut down its services after a driver tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to a City of Tupelo news release issued Tuesday, the driver confirmed Monday that he had tested positive for the virus on Saturday, March 28.
The driver’s last day of work was Monday, March 23.
According to the city, all passengers who rode with this driver within the past three weeks have been notified.
Tupelo Transit has required all employees to now self-quarantine. All vehicles and its office are being sanitized and cleaned.
Tupelo Transit is closed until Tuesday, April 7, 14 days since exposure as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
