BLUE SPRINGS, Miss. (WTVA) - Toyota is gearing up to welcome employees back on Monday. The plant closed on March 17th.
On Monday almost 3000 workers will return.
Emily Lauder, Vice President of Administration at Toyota said reopening is a good thing for the economy.
Lauder said she believes it will not only help Toyota but all of the suppliers in the region.
Judd Wilson, Vice President of Tupelo Chamber of Commerce hopes the reopen will give local economies a boost.
"Economic wise you've got almost three thousand workers here. That's people that are back to work who are going to spend money. In the economic impact people will get back to work," said Wilson.
