RIPLEY, Miss. (WTVA) - A curfew is in effect for Tippah County residents to limit contact with other people as the state, nation and world try to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
The curfew is from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The curfew began on April 1.
The curfew does not apply to people who are seeking emergency medical care, law enforcement and government functions, traveling to and from work, traveling through the county or other emergency travel to protect life or public.
The Tippah County Board of Supervisors announced the curfew on April 1.
Residents in Tippah County are to stay home except for essential needs
The Board's order places restrictions on businesses and operations.
