SHERMAN, Miss. (WTVA) - Sherman residents are asked to stay at home.
They can leave their homes for travel to essential businesses, to check on family members, work, or travel to check on other personal properties.
This measure will go into effect Tuesday night at midnight and continue until 11:59 p.m. March 31
Restaurants are to close their dining rooms and may use drive-thru, curbside delivery or other delivery services.
Essential businesses such as healthcare clinics, pharmacies, gas stations, grocery stores, convenience stores, discount and dollar stores bank, transportation parts and repair facilities may operate under normal hours.
Employers are to encourage their employees to follow the CDC’s guidelines on best practices to avoid infection and transmission of coronavirus.
Non-essential businesses can continue to operate in an office or manufacturing setting as long as they meet CDC guidelines of 10 people or less and do not have a lobby or interaction with the general public during business hours.
