OKOLONA, Miss. (WTVA) - Okolona is now under a curfew to fight the coronavirus.
The curfew will go into effect Tuesday night.
The curfew is from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day, Mayor Sherman Carouthers said Tuesday afternoon.
The curfew will last until April 14. The city council will then determine whether to continue or end the curfew.
Chickasaw County supervisors also enacted a county-wide curfew, District 1 Supervisor Anderson McFarland confirmed.
The curfew will run from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day.
Chickasaw County’s curfew will go into effect Tuesday night and will last until further notice.
