BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - A nursing lecture class at Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) is being quarantined because a student tested positive for COVID-19.
College spokesman Will Kollmeyer confirmed the student attended class Monday morning and began to show symptoms after lunch.
The entire class and two instructors are being quarantined based on the college's protocol and guidelines from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
Kollmeyer said instruction will continue online-only until the quarantine period is over.
Traditional face-to-face classes began Monday, Aug. 3. Online classes begin Aug. 24.
