AMORY, Miss. (WTVA) - Masks will be required for all students and staff in the Monroe County School District (MCSD) beginning Thursday, Aug. 19.
District Superintendent Brian Jernigan provided the following statement:
"Due to the increased numbers of quarantines and isolations among staff and students, MCSD will begin requiring masks for all students and staff, while indoors, beginning Thursday, August 19th. Masks will be available for students who need one. MCSD will continue monitoring cases and will revisit the requirement at a later date. We are doing what we can to keep students in school and as safe as possible."
