JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — A high number of new coronavirus cases reported Sunday pushed Mississippi past 150,000 cases since the first case was reported in March.
The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 1,845 new cases and 27 new deaths.
Out of the 27 deaths, 3 of them happened this week locally — 2 in Winston County and 1 in Lafayette County.
Other local deaths occurred between September 7 and November 12 — 1 each in Monroe, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Union and Yalobusha counties.
With Sunday's report, the overall totals for Mississippi come to 151,785 coronavirus cases and 3,806 coronavirus deaths.
