JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — The Mississippi State Department of Health reported on Thanksgiving 1,746 new cases of the coronavirus and 18 new deaths linked to the virus.
Out of the new deaths, four of them happened locally — one each in Alcorn, Attala, Lowndes and Oktibbeha counties.
All the deaths happened between November 17 and November 25.
With this latest report, Mississippi has had 147,382 total cases and 3,763 total deaths since the first cases were reported in March.
The state health agency estimates 121.637 people have recovered from the virus.
