JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 730 new COVID-19 cases and 31 new deaths Tuesday, Oct. 20.
MSDH updates its case totals each morning based on test results from the previous day.
New COVID-19 related deaths reported to MSDH as of 6 p.m. Monday. Twenty-two deaths occurred between August 6 and October 18 in the counties below.

As of Tuesday, Oct. 20, there have been 111,322 total cases of the virus since mid-March, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 3,202 total deaths.
The state health department estimates there have been 97,675 recoveries.
