JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The state health department reported 675 new cases of the coronavirus and 20 new deaths Monday, June 29.
The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) updates its case totals each morning based on test results from the previous day.

New COVID-19 related deaths reported to MSDH as of 6 p.m. Sunday.

Eighteen confirmed COVID-19 related deaths occurred between May 5 and June 22, identified from death certificate reports. The additional deaths were reported in the following counties:
- Clarke - 2
- Clay - 1
- Hinds - 2
- Holmes - 1
- Jones - 1
- Leake - 2
- Neshoba - 4
- Newton - 1
- Noxubee - 1
- Oktibbeha - 1
- Scott - 1
- Union - 1
As of Monday, June 29, MSDH estimates 19,388 people have recovered from the virus.
Since mid-March, when the state reported its first case of the virus, MSDH has reported 26,567 total cases and 1,059 total deaths.
