MSDH reports 242 new coronavirus cases, 0 new deaths Monday

The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 242 new COVID-19 cases and 0 new deaths Monday, Feb. 22.

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 242 new COVID-19 cases and 0 new deaths Monday, Feb. 22.

Keep in mind many testing facilities were closed last week due to the winter weather.

As of Monday, Feb. 22, there have been 290,874 total cases of the virus since mid-March 2020, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 6,553 total deaths.

The state health department estimates there have been 264,456 recoveries.
