JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 1,141 new COVID-19 cases and 29 new deaths Tuesday, Dec. 1.
New COVID-19 related deaths reported to MSDH as of 6 p.m. Monday. Twenty-five deaths occurred on Nov. 24 and Nov. 30 in the counties below.

Four COVID-19 related deaths occurred between Nov. 19 and Nov. 22, identified from death certificate reports.

As of Tuesday, Dec. 1, there have been 154,411 total cases of the virus since mid-March, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 3,836 total deaths.
The state health department estimates there have been 128,746 recoveries. The MSDH usually updates its estimated recoveries total once a week.
