JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The newly available Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) coronavirus vaccine will be available through select drive-through sites this week.
The FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on Feb. 27. It only requires one dose.
The United States currently has three vaccines [Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson) available for public consumption.
The Mississippi State Department of Health will initially receive 24,000 doses of the new vaccine.
It’ll be available on March 4 at vaccination sites in Madison and Lauderdale counties, and on March 5 at Lowndes and Jones counties.
