TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Some local restaurants started serving customers under the revised public safety guidelines.
D’Casa Mexican restaurant in Tupelo closed the inside when the coronavirus pandemic first broke out in March but their drive-thru stayed open.

The restaurant reopened for inside dining last week and has followed the new guidelines.
Manager Luis Sosa said for social distancing, they now skip tables when seating.
“We closed our buffet, we can’t have our buffet. Everybody has to wear masks, gloves, and sanitize everything every day, every time a table gets up, sanitize a table, sanitize the chairs, the booths, everything," explained Sosa.
“It’s nice that things are starting to lift a little bit. I think it’s time for the country to kind of get back to normality and I don’t believe in accepting this new norm of what’s been going on with the covid crisis. But we are cautious," said Ron Cottom, a D'Casa customer.
Sosa said employees give customers gloves and masks if they request them.
