TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Lee County has recorded more than 400 cases of the coronavirus since mid-March when Mississippi reported its first case.
That's one reason why the Lee County Board of Supervisors is providing free masks.

"Our emergency management director, Lee Bowdry, is receiving the masks and dispersing them out to the different agencies that need them: the sheriff's department, medical center,” Supervisor Phil Morgan said. “I've delivered some myself to some of the fire departments."
He said the county Board has already received about 15,000 masks.
“I put out at least 5,000 or so myself,” Morgan said Wednesday. “But I distributed mine to the churches prior to their start-up earlier this month."
Other Board members have done the same.
More masks are coming from the state, he said, and people can call the Board of Supervisors' Office to get masks.
As long as the county has masks, the county will continue to provide masks to the public free of charge, Morgan continued.
