HOUSTON, Miss. (WTVA) - The City of Houston has imposed a citywide curfew in order to combat the spread of the coronavirus in Houston.
Mayor Stacey Parker and the Board of Aldermen voted unanimously late Thursday night to impose a citywide curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Friday night.
The citywide curfew requires all residents to remain in their homes, barring emergencies.
This is another effort by Houston to try and curb the spread of the coronavirus.
The curfew does not apply to businesses that may be open past 8 p.m.
