JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — Governor Tate Reeves said he tested negative for the coronavirus just days after a joint news conference with President Trump at the White House.
“I feel fine right now, feel great," said Reeves on Friday in an interview with the political website Y'all Politics, "and don’t have any reason to believe that under current protocols that it would be necessary for me to self quarantine.”
Still, he posted on Twitter later in the day he got a coronavirus test adding "better safe than sorry."
The governor said during the interview he spent more time Monday with Vice President Pence and the White House Coronavirus Task Force instead of the president.
He added there was strict social distancing in his interaction with the president.
