VERONA, Miss. (WTVA) - The Town of Verona has implemented a curfew in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Board of Aldermen met Tuesday, March 24 and declared a state of emergency.
The curfew is from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The Board wants everyone to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) guidelines by not allowing groups of more than 10 people at a location.
Citizens are to travel for essential purposes only. If someone is sick, that person should stay home.
The Board askes businesses and industries to take appropriate measures to ensure the health of their employees and customers. Restaurants are urged to provide curbside pickup or drive-thru services.
