Coronavirus forced Mississippi Book Festival to go virtual

The 6th annual Mississippi Book Festival experienced a first this year: holding the entire event online because of the coronavirus.

JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — The 6th annual Mississippi Book Festival experienced a first this year: holding the entire event online because of the coronavirus.

Organizers originally planned to host nearly 10,000 people on the grounds of the Mississippi State Capitol.

Now those book lovers can go online to hear authors discussing their literary work.
