BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) says all face-to-face instruction on its Booneville, Corinth and New Albany campuses is canceled starting on Monday, March 16.
This comes after the state of Mississippi reported its first case of coronavirus in Forrest County, which is in south Mississippi.

Instead, the classes will move online beginning Monday, March 23. Traditional online classes will continue on a regular schedule.
Dorms will remain closed, the college said Thursday afternoon.
Students are urged to look at their Canvas and/or school email accounts for additional information regarding the remainder of the semester schedule.
Administration, faculty and staff should report to work as scheduled Monday, March 16.
Additionally, effective immediately all athletic events, extracurricular activities and community-related events scheduled in any Northeast facility are canceled until March 30.
