STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA)— Workers at an Oktibbeha County campsite say they’re seeing a crowd of campers for the holiday.
Since the pandemic started, KOA Kampground was used to having 5 available spaces at their site.
Jac Smith, co-manager, said because of the Fourth of July weekend more campers are making reservations.
Smith said workers at the campground are making the environment safe.
Workers clean the bath house and laundry room everyday, they provide sanitizer to their guests and keep all of the vehicles spaced out, Smith said.
“We try to keep them separated, too, like keep a space in-between each side," he said. "Can’t always do that especially on this weekend.”
