CALHOUN CITY, Miss. (WTVA) - If you were planning on going to the Calhoun City Square Fest, you will have to wait another year.
Organizers cancelled this year’s event because of the coronavirus.
They held the annual arts and crafts festival at the Calhoun City Public Square.
Chamber of Commerce President Laura Edwards said organizers didn’t think having the festival would be safe for the community.
"We didn’t think it would be fair to the vendors who would travel who might not be able to pay for their expenses and then make any money,” said Edwards.
Edwards said this year would have been the festival’s 50th anniversary.
