COOL NIGHT, AND MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES THIS WEEKEND!!

It was another sunny and dry day across the region with temperatures warming up slightly above normal, right around the 70 degree mark. Tonight will be a cool evening across the area, but not as cool as what we saw last night, under clear skies. Temperatures overnight will cool off into the lower 40s, with some of the normally colder spots possibly cooling off into the upper 30s. Saturday will be a beauty with high temperatures warming up into the lower to middle 70s under sunny skies and a southerly breeze.

Sunday looks to be practically a carbon copy of Saturday, but with slightly warmer temperatures and increasing cloud cover as moisture increases ahead of an approaching area of low pressure. Rain looks to possibly come back into the forecast Monday and Tuesday, but not everyone may see the rain. All this is dependent on a couple of disturbances and how they interact with Tropical Depression Ida. Ida will likely stregthen back into a tropical storm as it moves into the Gulf of Mexico this weekend. From there the forecast models are not very consistent with it's path and how much moisture will actually make it this far north. The locations with the best chances for rain will be across central and southern portions of the state. By Wednesday high pressure will build back into the region and keep us high and dry through the end of the following work week.
