South Williamsport, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jae Yeong Hwang hit a go-ahead homer in the top of the sixth to give South Korea a 4-2 win over Japan, advancing South Korea to the international championship game of the Little League World Series.

South Korea took an early lead off a two-run blast by Hae Chan Choi, but Japan tied it up a half inning later, scoring on a sacrifice fly and a wild pitch. With the game still deadlocked at two in the final frame, Hwang smacked a solo shot to give South Korea a one-run lead. The South Koreans added another run in the inning to make it 4-2.

Dong Hyeok Kim tossed scoreless fifth and sixth innings, striking out three batters, to get the win.

Japan will play Mexico on Thursday. The winner of that game will face South Korea in the international title game on Saturday.
