Alameda, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Raiders announced Friday that the team has re-signed veteran offensive lineman Khalif Barnes. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Barnes will be entering his 10th NFL season and sixth with the Raiders. The versatile 31-year-old started all 16 games for the Silver and Black last year, logging 11 at left tackle and five at left guard.

"I'm so excited to be back," Barnes said. "I'm going on my sixth year here, and we've had some ups and downs but there are some unfinished things we have to do here. I want to be a part of the process that turns this thing around. I believe in [head coach] Dennis [Allen] and I believe in [general manager] Reggie [McKenzie]. I am just excited I get the chance to come back and help this team win."

Since joining the Raiders in 2009, Barnes has started 46 times at three different positions (left and right tackle, left guard). The California native began his career with Jacksonville and was a second-round choice of the Jaguars in the 2005 draft.
