Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The United States men's national team will be without three key players for its upcoming slate after it was revealed that Maurice Edu, Corey Ashe and Brek Shea have picked up injuries.

The U.S. will face Belgium and Germany in friendly matches on May 29 and June 2, respectively, before continuing its World Cup qualifying campaign with three matches in the span of 11 days. After heading to Jamaica on June 7, the Americans will return home to face Panama in Seattle, Wash. on June 11 and Honduras in Sandy, Utah on June 18.

They will be without Edu, who was diagnosed with a sports hernia after he returned to English Premier League club Stoke City following a loan to Turkish side Bursaspor.

Ashe was called into camp for the Belgium match but has been ruled out after suffering a groin strain in the Houston Dynamo's 1-1 draw with Sporting Kansas City on Sunday.

Shea dropped out due to a right calf strain. He will travel to Dallas, Texas for treatment and but no timetable has been given for his return.
