Ibaraki, Japan (SportsNetwork.com) - Ashun Wu struggled to a 4-over 75 in Sunday's final round, but managed to hang on for a 1-shot win at the Heiwa PGM Championship.
Wu, who won for the second time on the Japan Golf Tour, finished at 11-under- par 273 at Miho Golf Club.
On the front nine, he bogeyed the par-5 second, but bounced back with a birdie on the par-5 sixth. Around the turn, Wu stumbled to bogeys at 11 and 12. He briefly righted things with a birdie on the par-5 13th.
Wu gave that shot right back as he bogeyed the 14th. He faltered to a double bogey on the par-4 17th, but parred the last to hang on for the win.
Hyung-Sung Kim managed an 1-over 72 to take second at minus-10. He had two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine, while trading a bogey for a birdie from the 12th. After four pars in a row, Kim bogeyed the last to lose by one.
Kazuhiro Yamashita (72), Han Lee (72) and Kyoung-Hoon Lee (73) shared third place at 7-under 277, while Brad Kennedy (72) and Koumei Oda (76) were one shot back at minus-6.
