(SportsNetwork.com) - Jaromir Jagr plans to play another season with the New Jersey Devils, according to reports in the future Hall of Fame forward's native Czech Republic.
Jagr, who is presently preparing to participate in the upcoming IIHF World Championships, told Czech television station TV NOVA Sport that he has a deal in place with the Devils for the 2014-15 NHL season.
The 42-year-old previously signed a one-year deal with New Jersey last July and led the Devils with 67 points, tallying 24 goals and 43 assists while appearing in all 82 games. The point total was Jagr's highest in three seasons since coming back to the NHL in 2011 following a three-year stint in Russia's Kontinental Hockey League.
Jagr also recorded his 700th career goal last season and stands seventh on the NHL's all-time list with 705 markers, while his 1,755 points are tied for sixth-best in league history.
