Montreal's Galchenyuk out six weeks

Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk will miss the next six weeks with a broken hand.

Galchenyuk suffered the injury during the second period of Monday's 2-1 win over the Florida Panthers.

The 19-year-old has supplied 10 goals and 13 assists in 44 games this season for the Canadiens.

He was selected third overall in the 2012 draft and also won a gold medal with the United States at the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championship.
