Uniondale, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Islanders waited until Day 2 of free agency to make headline-worthy moves, inking forwards Mikhail Grabovski and Nikolai Kulemin to separate four-year contracts on Wednesday.

No financial terms of the deals were disclosed, but Newsday reported that Grabovski will earn $20 million for the duration and Kulemin's coffers will be filled with $16.75 million over the span of his pact.

Grabovski completed his lone season with the Washington Capitals by posting 13 goals and 22 assists in 58 games.

The 30-year-old center and native of Belarus is a veteran of 425 NHL contests with Montreal, Toronto and Washington, claiming 107 goals and 252 points.

Kulemin, a left-handed shooting winger, finished his sixth North American campaign with nine goals and 20 points over 70 games for the Maple Leafs.

A 27-year-old Russian, Kulemin departs Toronto after 421 games, 84 scores and 195 points.
