Montreal, QC ( - Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price will play for the first time since the Winter Olympics when the team hosts the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, head coach Michel Therrien announced during the morning skate.

Price, the No. 1 netminder on Canada's gold medal-winning squad at the Sochi Games, has missed each of Montreal's first eight games since the NHL resumed play following the Olympic break due to a lower-body injury he initially sustained while in Russia.

The 26-year-old has compiled a 26-17-5 record with a 2.33 goals-against average and four shutouts in 48 starts for the Canadiens this season, then put together a stellar performance in last month's Olympics. In five games for Team Canada, Price posted a 0.59 GAA and two shutouts along with a .971 save percentage.

With Price activated from injured reserve, Montreal assigned goaltender Dustin Tokarski to Hamilton of the American Hockey League.
