Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Carolina Hurricanes have activated forward Jeff Skinner from injured reserve.
The former Calder Trophy winner will be available to play in Thursday's game at Detroit.
Skinner missed the last 11 games with an upper-body injury suffered on Oct. 24 at Minnesota. The 21-year-old was averaging nearly a point-per-game prior to the injury, posting three goals and six assists in 10 contests.
The Hurricanes also placed forward Alexander Semin on injured reserve. He is out indefinitely with a concussion.
