Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - Buffalo forward Joel Armia has been sidelined indefinitely with a broken hand.

Armia, a former first-round pick (16th overall) in the 2011 draft by the Sabres, has stuck with the club thus far through training camp and the preseason after spending the last three seasons in Finland.

He posted 19 goals and 33 points in 47 games for Assat Pori in Finland's top- flight league last year.
