Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - The Oakland Raiders announced Wednesday that starting left tackle Jared Veldheer will need surgery to repair a torn left triceps.

There is no timetable for his return.

The underrated fourth-year pro from Hillsdale College is in the final year of his contract and has started every game for Oakland over the last two years.

Former first-round pick and St. Louis Ram Alex Barron will start at left tackle.
