Berea, OH (Sports Network) - Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski confirmed Monday that quarterback Brian Hoyer will make his third straight start Thursday when Cleveland hosts the Buffalo Bills.

Hoyer has won each of his two starts since replacing Brandon Weeden, who suffered a sprained thumb in a Week 2 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Chudzinski, though, did not commit to Hoyer as the starter following Week 5.

"I think it's week-to-week," Chudzinski said of the team's starting quarterback situation. "Where we're at, I'm comfortable with."

Weeden resumed throwing last week and Chudzinski stated that he's been cleared to play.

The homegrown Hoyer was 25-of-38 for 269 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Browns' 17-6 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. In Week 3, Hoyer's go-ahead 7-yard TD pass to Jordan Cameron with 51 seconds left helped Cleveland rally and stun the Minnesota Vikings, 31-27.
