Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - The Buffalo Bills have placed defensive end Chris Kelsay on injured reserve due to a neck problem.

Kelsay missed three of the last four games after tearing a ligament in his neck during practice last month. He tried to play through the injury, returning for a Week 12 matchup at Indianapolis, but failed to finish the contest.

A 10-year veteran, Kelsay registered 14 tackles and two sacks while starting four of the nine games he played this season.

The Bills on Wednesday also promoted cornerback T.J. Heath and guard Keith Williams from the practice squad to the active roster.
