Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - An MRI taken on Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose confirmed a medial meniscus tear in his right knee which will require surgery.
Rose suffered the injury in the Bulls' 98-95 loss in Portland on Friday. He will be out of action indefinitely and will not travel with Chicago as the club finishes its current six-game road trip.
It's a stroke of bad luck for the 25-year-old Memphis product, who missed all of last season while recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee and subsequent surgery.
In 10 games this season, Rose posted averages of 15.9 points, 4.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds.
