Recap: Philadelphia vs. Detroit

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Ish Smith scored 15 points with eight assists to power the Philadelphia 76ers to a 94-83 win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

Jason Richardson went 3-for-5 from 3-point range and finished with 14 points, while Thomas Robinson and Jerami Grant netted 12 and 10 points, respectively, off the bench for the 76ers, who have won three of its four meetings with Detroit this season.

Nerlens Noel finished with 11 points and three blocks before departing in the third quarter with a right foot contusion.

"He's got uncanny timing," Philadelphia head coach Brett Brown said of Noel. "He can do things on the ball, off the ball, block lefty and righty and he's patient."

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope supplied 20 points and eight boards, while Reggie Jackson recorded a triple-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for the Pistons, who have lost 11 of their last 12 games.

"It was terrible and it was a thing we made a huge point about," Detroit head coach Stan Van Gundy said of his team's turnovers. "We knew there would be people open and we didn't do a damn thing about it. I didn't see any focus whatsoever in being strong with the ball."

Caldwell-Pope led the charge with 12 points during the third quarter. The Pistons ended the frame on an 11-1 burst to whittle the deficit down to 68-65 heading into the final stanza.

Hollis Thompson scored five points during an 8-2 Sixers run to start the fourth. Detroit went cold down the stretch as Jodie Meeks' trey with 1:53 to go represented the team's first field goal in over five minutes as Philadelphia cruised to the win.

Grant's driving layup with 1.1 seconds left capped a tight opening 12 minutes and gave the Sixers a 24-21 lead.

Robinson scored eight straight points for Philadelphia, making it a 35-27 game prior to the midway point of the second quarter. Noel's emphatic alley oop and Smith's floater with 2.8 seconds increased the 76ers' lead to 49-39 at halftime.

Game Notes

Jackson notched his first career triple-double just a night after he scored 23 points with 20 assists against Memphis. He is the first player with a 20- point, 20-assist game and a triple-double in consecutive games since Mark Jackson in January of 1997 ... The 76ers held a clear 40-20 advantage for points in the paint ... Detroit forward Greg Monroe missed a second straight game with a strained right knee ... Philadelphia shot 42.9 percent and limited Detroit to 33 percent shooting.
