Recap: Memphis vs. Oklahoma City

Memphis, TN ( - Jeff Green scored 22 points and the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 100-92 on Friday night.

Memphis got its second straight win and tied idle Houston for first place in the Southwest Division and second place in the Western Conference with six games remaining.

Marc Gasol added 19 points in the win, Zach Randolph scored 14, Courtney Lee and Mike Conley added 13 each and Nick Calathes had 10 points to round out a balanced scoring attack.

The Grizzlies shot better than 47 percent from the floor overall, but made just four of their 21 3-point attempts.

"Guys were getting open looks," said Memphis coach David Joerger. "I thought we had a lot of shots that didn't go down that were open, especially 3s."

Enes Kanter had 24 points and 17 rebounds to lead Oklahoma City and Russell Westbrook scored 18.

The Thunder have dropped four of their last five but remain in eighth place in the Western Conference. Their loss clinched the Northwest Division for the Portland Trail Blazers.

"They're a good defensive team. They fight you for every possession," Oklahoma City head coach Scott Brooks said. "We played solid. They were a little better than us tonight."

Green led a run in the fist half that helped Memphis take the lead for good.

The Thunder, down 55-49 at halftime, tied the score several times in the third quarter but never took the lead. They trailed 77-69 going into the fourth and got as close as four on Steven Adams' bucket with 2:14 remaining.

But Gasol and Lee scored the next four Grizzlies points to help them take a seven-point lead with just 26.3 seconds left.

Westbrook, who was named the Western Conference Player of the Month on Friday for the second month in a row, scored 12 points in the first quarter to help the Thunder take a 26-24 lead into the second.

But he had just two points in the second quarter and Green scored 15 for the Grizzlies, including 13 during an 18-4 run that turned a seven-point deficit into a seven-point lead.
