Recap: New Orleans vs. Washington
Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - John Wall scored 15 points and the Washington Wizards rallied past the New Orleans Pelicans, 94-89, in a preseason tilt on Wednesday.
Otto Porter scored 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting off the bench and Bradley Beal and Kevin Seraphin each donated 11 for the Wizards, who won the rebounding margin, 48-41, despite two fewer offensive boards.
Prior to the game, the NBA announced a $15,000 fine for Wizards forward Paul Pierce for his role in an altercation with Bulls center Joakim Noah in the preseason opener on Monday. Nene, DeJuan Blair, Daniel Orton and Xavier Silas will all be suspended for one game for leaving the bench during the altercation.
Eric Gordon paced the Pelicans with 15 points, and Anthony Davis finished with 11 points and eight rebounds in the setback.Game Notes
