Hornets ink Sloan to 10-day contract

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets signed guard Donald Sloan to 10-day contract on Monday.

Sloan, a Texas A&M product, recently appeared in two games for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League and averaged 22.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists.

Earlier this season, Sloan appeared in 20 contests with the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 4.1 points, 1.9 assists and 1.4 rebounds per game, before being waved on Dec. 25.

The 6-foot-3 guard appeared in 33 games with three teams throughout the 2011-12 season, including three with the Hornets. He also played for Atlanta and Cleveland.
